Carolina Center of Cancer Nanotechnology Excellence
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Center Overview

The Carolina CCNE focuses on improving cancer disease control and management utilizing innovative and cutting edge nanotechnologies, such as PRINT (Particle Replication on Non-Wetting Templates) nanoparticles and carbon-nanotube-based x-ray sources, to enhance treatment and early detection of lung, brain and breast cancer. The Carolina CCNE has proposed five research projects in two key areas: nanoparticle based delivery of siRNA and chemotherapy & carbon nanotube based radiation therapy and early detection.
