Cores

Core A: UCLA Institute for Molecular Medicine

Core Investigator: Michael Phelps, Ph.D.
This Core is designed to provide project support and capability for the translation of the more advanced technology platforms of this CCNE to the greater (local) oncology community, thus expanding the influence of the most robust nanotechnologies.

Core B: Nanofabrication and Nanomaterials Characterization

Core Investigator: James Heath, Ph.D.
This Core is designed to support the CCNE activities that range from rapid prototyping of nanotech and microfluidics platforms, nanomaterials synthesis and characterization, surface science, and technology platform scale-up.

Core C: Systems Biology

Core Investigator: Leroy Hood, M.D., Ph.D.
This Core is designed to support the genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics work, as well as the computational biology and database mining and development that provide the base support for much of the biological content within the CCNE deliverables.
