Cancer Nanotechnology Working Group (CNWG)
Helping guide the programmatic activities of the NCI Alliance for Nanotechnology in Cancer is the Cancer Nanotechnology Working Group (CNWG), which was formed from the Cancer Nanotechnology Intramural Working Group and the Cancer Nanotechnology Extramural Intramural Working Group. The CNWG has a tracking function and continues (as the two subgroups have in the past) to act in an advisory capacity as the Cancer Nanotechnology Plan moves forward.
The CNWG played a key role in coordinating multiple Cancer Nanotechnology Symposia held at regional cancer and advanced technology centers. Subsequently, group members helped to plan the NCI-sponsored intramural Nanotechnology Seminar Series which began in January 2005.
